Singapore Airlines Check-in Methods

You can check-in to the airline using following methods-

Airport check-in:

Passengers are required to reach the airport in time to be able to check in their baggage, get security clearance and get a boarding pass. They can either be at the counter queue or make use of the kiosk kept there for this purpose.

For international flights, the passengers are required to check-in at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Passengers are expected to arrive at the boarding gate no later than 40 minutes before the flight time.

Online check-in:

Singapore Airlines online check-in begins 48 hours before and continues till 1.5 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Online check in can be done using the website of the airline or its mobile application.

Singapore Airlines Frequent Flyer Program

Singapore Airlines has a frequent flyer program by the name of KrisFlyer. It is a miles-based program which allocates a certain number of points depending on the number of miles flown. You can earn points on flying with the airline, making purchases with the KrisFlyer credit card, flying with partner carriers, staying in hotels, booking car rentals and shopping with partners.

The earned points can be redeemed by booking air tickets on Singapore Airlines, booking hotels and on upgrades to the higher level of seating in the cabin.

Singapore Airlines Baggage Policy

Singapore Airlines allows carriage of carry-on and checked baggage on its flights.

Check-in baggage:

Typically, Economy Class passengers are allowed 1 or 2 checked bags depending on the route, each weighing up to 50 lbs. Business and First Class travelers enjoy more generous allowances.

Excess baggage charges apply for overweight and oversized luggage. Maximum linear dimensions are 62 inches per bag.

Elite status members and frequent flyers may get additional baggage benefits.

Carry-on Baggage:

The carry-on baggage is free for all. The dimensions of the carry-on bag shall not exceed 22'' x 15'' x 8'' or 45 linear inches. You are also allowed to carry one personal item like a laptop, handbag, or camera.
