Alaska Airlines Check-in Methods
You can check-in to the airline using following methods-
1. Airport check-in: Passengers are required to reach the airport in time to be able to check in their baggage, get security clearance and get a boarding pass. They can either be at the counter queue or make use of the kiosk kept there for this purpose.
For domestic flights, the passengers are required to check-in at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight.
For international flights, the passengers are required to check-in at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight.
Passengers are expected to arrive at the boarding gate no later than 30 minutes before the flight time.
2. Online check-in: Alaska Airlines online check-in begins 24 hours before and continues till 1 hour before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Alaska Airlines Frequent Flyer Program
Alaska Airlines has a frequent flyer program by the name of Mileage Plan. It is a miles based program which allocates a certain number of points depending on the number of miles flown. You can earn points on flying with the airline, making purchases with the Alaska Airlines credit card, flying with partner carriers, staying in hotels, booking car rentals and shopping with partners.

Alaska Airline Baggage Policy
Alaska Airlines allows carriage of carry-on and checked baggage on its flights.
1. Check in baggage: Generally, it does not allow free allowance in check-in baggage and the passengers are required to pay a fee for carrying bags. Generally, the check-in baggage fee for 1st bag is $30, for 2nd bag is $40 and thereafter it is $100 per additional bag.
However, frequent flyers are allowed free check-in baggage allowance depending on their membership status. Free check-in baggage is also available for Alaska Airlines credit card holders as well as military personnel.
Maximum linear dimension of each check-in bag shall not exceed 62 inches and weight shall not exceed 50 pounds.
For bags of more than 50 lbs weight and up to 100 lbs, additional charges of $100 apply.
For bags of more than 62 inches and up to 115 inches dimension, an additional charge of $100 applies.
The airline also imposes seasonal limits on baggage to be carried. So, do check for the limits on the number of bags which you are allowed to carry in different seasons.
2. Carry-On Baggage: The carry-on baggage is free for all. The dimensions of the carry-on bag shall not exceed 22'' x 14'' x 9'' or 45 linear inches. You are also allowed to carry per personal item such as a purse, laptop bag or briefcase, and medically necessary items.
