COPA Airlines Check-in Methods
Passengers can check-in to the Copa airlines flights using different methods. These methods have their own cut-off timelines within which the check-in process must be completed. These include:
1. Airport Check-in: The airline allows checking in at the airport using the kiosk machine installed at the airport or being in the queue at the airline counter. The passengers with check in bags are required to drop off their bags at the appropriate counter after proper tagging.

COPA Airlines Baggage Policy
COPA airlines allows carriage of carry-on and check-in baggage.
1. Carry-on Baggage: Carry on baggage can be upto 46 linear inches in size and up to 10 lbs in weight.
Besides the carry-on luggage, passengers are allowed to carry one personal item as well. The personal item shall not be more than 36 linear inches in size.
2. Checked Baggage: Generally, the airline charges a fee for carriage of the check-in baggage. However, it can be free for the frequent flyers and certain categories of passengers. To what extent it is free and what the quantum of fee is depends on fare class booked, the number of check-in bags and frequent flyer member status.
Regular passengers have to pay $35 for the 1st check-in baggage when flying on Basic fare. It is free for other fare categories. 2nd check-in bag is chargeable for Basic and Classic fare categories whereas it is free for other fare classes.
Every passenger is allowed to carry up to 5 check-in bags, each of which can be up to 62 inches linear dimensions and up to 23 kg (50lbs) weight.
Passengers can bring overweight check in baggage up to 100lbs and oversized baggage upto 115 inches linear dimensions on payment of excess baggage fee.
You can also carry special baggage, such as musical instruments and the sporting articles on the airline, as per its policy for these items.
