Volaris Check-in Methods
Volaris Airlines allows check-in in different ways. Passengers can check-in at the airport counter or using the online medium.
Checking in at the airport comes with a nominal price tag. Passengers get a printed boarding pass. Passengers are expected to come to the airport at least 2 hours before in case of domestic flights and at least 3 to 4 hours before in case of international flights.
The web check-in can be done on the website or the mobile application of the airline. Passengers get an e-boarding pass. Baggage Allowance
Volaris Baggage Policy
Volaris has a baggage policy based on the fare classes and whether the flight is a domestic one or international one. These are three cabin fare classes-Vuela Basic, Vuela Classic and Vuela Plus.
1. Carry-on and Check-in Baggage: On its domestic flights, it allows 2 standard cabin bags of a total of 22lbs with maximum of 22 x 16 x 10 inches in each for Vuela Basic fare class. Vuela Classic allows carriage of 2 large cabin bags of total weight of 44 lbs with size of 22 x 16 x 10 in each.
However, Vuela Plus allows one check-in baggage in addition to what has been provided in the other two fare categories.
For the international flights, there is free allowance of 1 personal item 14 x 18 x 8 in Vuela Basic, 1 personal item and 1 carryon baggage that does not exceed 22 lbs and has maximum of 22 x 16 x 10 in size under Vuela Classic. The Vuela plus fare class allows carriage of 1 personal item, 2 carry-on bags and 1 check-in bag per passenger.
2. Check-in Baggage: The check-in baggage allowed is maximum of 5 bags per passenger with each weighing upto 55 lbs in weight and 62 inches in linear dimensions.
Overweight baggage is allowed subject to a maximum of 99 lbs. There are charges to be paid for the excess baggage.
